In Search of Cenotes & Mayan Ruins — Exploring the Mayan Riviera by Rental Car!

After many, many steps down that slightly slippery and questionable staircase, you’re greeted by a beautiful cavern and deep-blue water. It’s just incredible to look at! The water is so crystal clear, it’s hypnotizing. This cenote is perfect for snorkeling as it’s the deepest of the three in the area.

Finding a Little Spring Escapism in San Francisco

And I was absolutely correct. The rest of the trip was a the perfect spring escape for me — it had unforgettable times with friends, delectable food, fruity frozen drinks at cute bars, a slight allergic reaction to who knows what that caused my eyes to get a little swollen, me slouching in front of millennial art at SFMoMA, a life-changing moment, and puppies!

Exploring the Land of Tequila Pt. 2: A Sweaty Crack, Lucha Libre & Seeing Too Much

I take a couple of steps into the back room where the mural is and my eyes immediately go to the back corner. It’s dark, but not dark enough to save my eyes from fully catching an older woman and her man … how do I put this? Well … he was … going to town. Yes, that town.

Exploring the Land of Tequila, Pt. 1: The Jose Cuervo Express Experience

It’s 8:30 a.m. and you have a buffet of pan dulce, fruit, coffee, juice, hot chocolate made with Chocolate Abuelita and even papas locas at your disposal. I’m literally salivating just remembering this. Then, it’s 9 a.m. and you’re in a comfy ass bus with … just wait … an OPEN BAR.

Merde! We Flooded an Apartment in Paris!

What I saw next almost made me pee my pants. It was as if the single step that led up to the bathroom had metamorphed into a tiny waterfall of doom. Our doom. Our Airbnb doom. Let’s be honest, the first thing that came to my mind was the bad review I was surely going to get because of this!

Vancouver, B.C.: I Saw Whales & Almost Barfed!

This past October, I visited the Pacific Northwest for the very first time. As you hopefully read about in my first post about this trip, I hopped over the U.S.-Canada border into Vancouver, B.C. after hitting up Seattle. Canada’s been on…

Meet Me at Kerry Park at Dusk.

“So, what made you come to Seattle?” Asked our Lyft driver, as she drove through the gorgeous, lush Leschi neighborhood on our way to see Kurt Cobain’s last home. “Well, you see,” I began to very shamelessly say (as I…

The time I lived in Sumber Klampok, Bali, Indonesia.

That’s right. At some point in my life I lived in BALI. No, not the “Eat, Pray, Love” bullshit you’re thinking of. I didn’t stay in a fancy ass villa with an infinity pool, nor did I fall in love…

A Bachelorette, 11 Strangers & Playa.

Hi, there! I’m here to talk to you about the reason why I’m hostage to a newfound obsession with the Caribbean. The last time I was in Cancun was about six or seven years ago … and that’s where we’ll…

Beer, Bugs & Bitterballen — My First Time in Amsterdam

Okay, I know. It’s been way too long since my trip to Europe but I’d hate myself if I didn’t finish the series of Europe blogs I was supposed to write since I came back. So put on your seatbelt and get ready to cry with me because we’re at home and not in Amsterdam.
